cultivate the I...
people on the street, friends and family were always so complimentary about the way that my daughters were dressed, that i decided to share my buying habits and created quirky collective in late august 2010. so the idea was born out of a wish to present favourite clothing brands from our children’s wardrobes, and create a platform where i could display how well those brands understand what it means to be a child. quirky collective is a celebration of childhood and our mission is to ‘cultivate the I’. the name embraces the essence of the concept and represent a special place where brands with personality can be found under one roof and by extension where a community of creatively-minded designers, parents, cool kids and shoppers alike can be brought together.
quirky collective opens its doors to children’s wardrobe staples suiting parents with a discerning eye, parents who wish to connect with kidswear designers and their stories and who also long to bring out and cherish the ‘I’ in their offspring(s). by showcasing a palette of brands and designers who pay particular attention to detail and have a playful outlook on life and childhood, we present you, via our blog, with various style interpretations of carefully selected pieces of clothing allowing you to discover and nurture the quirk of your little one(s). by capturing the consciousness of many exciting brands, we sets out to establish ourselves as a style reference cum e-store.
